Our platform supports four types of assessments to accommodate various educational needs:
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): Traditional questions with predefined answer options.
- Open-Ended Questions: Essay-style questions requiring detailed written responses.
- Coding Exams: Programming assignments that assess technical skills. We currently support eight programming languages: C, C#, C++, Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Practical Assessments: Task-based evaluations that assess applied knowledge and skills.
Each assessment type can be customized with time limits, question pools, and specific grading criteria to match your course requirements.
What are assessment attempts?
An assessment attempt occurs when a student begins and submits an exam. Each plan includes specific limits for different types of assessments:
- Unlimited MCQ assessment attempts across all plans
- 300 coding assessment attempts in all plans
- 300 open-ended assessment attempts in Pro and Institution plans
All attempts are counted across your courses, and students cannot retake the same exam unless specifically enabled by the instructor. Attempts refresh monthly with your subscription.
What does basic exam integrity protection include?
Our platform offers essential exam integrity features across all plans:
- Copy-Paste Prevention: Stops students from copying exam content or pasting external text.
- Browser Lock: Prevents switching between browser tabs or applications during the exam.
- Screen Monitoring: Detects attempts to use multiple screens.
- Full-Screen Mode: Requires exams to be taken in full-screen mode.
For programming assessments, we provide a built-in Coding Assistant that helps with syntax while maintaining exam integrity.
How does AI Proctoring work?
Available in Pro and Institution plans, our AI proctoring system includes:
- Identity verification before and during exams
- 360° room scan before exam start
- Real-time gaze tracking
- Object detection for unauthorized materials
- Behavior analysis for suspicious activities
The system calculates an AI Confidence Score for each exam session. If potential issues are detected, recordings can be reviewed by instructors. Only exams that students pass are counted toward your proctoring limit.
How does AI question generation work?
Pro and Institution plans include AI-powered question generation:
- Upload course materials or lecture notes
- Specify topics and difficulty levels
- Generate questions across all supported formats
- Review and edit generated questions
- Add to your question bank for future use
The system can create multiple-choice, open-ended, and coding questions, with each generated question counting toward your monthly limit.
